chelidonI just chanced across some humble haikus I believe I popped out during a friendly "haiku slam" at a bardic circle five or six years ago, figured I'd recycle them here. Feel free to add your own. Best one I see receives temporary use of the coveted and rarely bestowed "Grand Master Hinode" title.
Lobes, toes and nose-tips,
Everything so tasty, yum
When chocolate-coated
songs flow like wine, tales
like warm, deep honey-- laughter
and life surround us
Peculiar modern-
day sacrifice. Marshmallow
Peeps burn merrily.
glistening red fish
thoughts shatter sing acid in
the water supply?
And two by a deceased Hawaiian comedian named Rap Replinger:
Someone has painted
my door. Stranger sings in my
bathtub. Oops...wrong house.
Endless wait in a
nonexistant line. Oh, banks
closed on Saturday.
