My favorite style of hidden door is the ornate wood pocket door - you think its a wall or partial wall,until its been unlatched and moved.

Those are great, and have the advantage of subtlety -- though there's always something to be said for the classic rotating fireplace... (put...the candle...BACK!) ;>

And if you use a book as a trigger for your bookcase-door, don't make it the only white book on the shelf, at least make 'em hunt around a bit...
