I LOVE the hideadoors. Those are pretty cool.

My "requirements" for a dream house were always that I could look around out front and not see a neighbor's house, that I couldn't right off the top of my head know how many rooms it had (whether because it had lots of rooms, or was just plain weird ;>), and there had to be a secret passage somewhere. I've got the first, the second is coming along (the Tardis-like quality of the place we had in Maryland is seeping in here more every day as I renovate), and I'm building the third now :>

My favorite style of hidden door is the ornate wood pocket door - you think its a wall or partial wall, until its been unlatched and moved.

Those are great, and have the advantage of subtlety -- though there's always something to be said for the classic rotating fireplace... (put...the candle...BACK!) ;>

And if you use a book as a trigger for your bookcase-door, don't make it the only white book on the shelf, at least make 'em hunt around a bit...

in addition the bookcase ones would solve the problem of where to put more bookcases...
