weirdness

I'm sitting in my car outside the apartment of a dear friend with whom I just had a lovely visit, and on a whim, wanting to see if the Museum of Modern Art has night hours today, I pulled out my laptop and yes, indeed, there is a free, open wireless access point in range. Two, in fact. San Francisco is a weird, wacky town, and I have to say, as much as I'm quite anxious to be home, I do so enjoy visiting here every so often. To my Lovely Housemates, I am bringing home a very special Solstice surprise, and that is all I will say :>

And checking email, I find that someone who went through great lengths only a few weeks ago to slander and spread lies about me in some kind of bizarre whacked vendetta, just sent me a Solstice greeting. Un-fewking-believable.

And on the positive side again, after doing some very good work, and having at least a wee bit of good play, I'm soon to be on my way back to my land, my home, my family. Returning to my own sources of light, as it were. And that is very, very good. May we all find our own sources of light, inner and outer, and may we be open to accepting their blessings in our lives.

Solstice blessings to you! I'm sure it's hard to be away from your family this time of year. I had hoped to go visit my sister but it's turning out that I'll be staying here, so I'm taking it easy and turning the wheel with a sigh of relief, ready for a new cycle. Love to you!

And right back atcha! :> It's such a relief to be back home again. There's still much, much to be done, but I'm really going to try to take some downtime over the next two weeks, I definitely have earned it ;>

Thanks! I'm back home again, for the first day of the new solar year :> Which makes some sense, I guess, I've always been a solar sort, and coming back home really is for me like coming back to the light. Now my holidays can begin!

I also hear you about turning the cycle with a sigh of relief. I think of where I was a year ago, and now, and oh yes, so very much time for a new year.

Happiest solstice to you, and safe travels. May the growing light bring you and yours all good things.

mmm, what a lovely wish! May it be so for you as well! I'm back home safely, with nowhere to go anytime soon, which is a huge delight.

I'm so sorry I missed your call! I was in a noisy shop and carrying something heavy -- no way to pick up. It would have been good to see you. :( I hope your trip out here was good, though, and your trip home safe and warm.

I'll definitely hope to catch ya next time -- my schedule was so crazy while I was there, with many constant changes, that I ended up not having much free time, and that only on short notice, so I couldn't plan things in advance well at all. It wasn't until yesterday afternoon/evening that I was in and around the city -- until then, I was way out towards Sacramento/Modesto/Turlock. Gosh, California is big!

It really, really is.

How often are you out here, anyway? :)

Not nearly as often as I used to -- I try to stay close to home these days, and thankfully my freelance work can almost always be done without much travel. This one required some onsite interviews, site tours and face time. But all that said, S.F. is one town I'm sure I'll be getting back to on at least a yearly basis!

Yes, it was lovely on my end as well, if far too brief (see comments above about my schedule, hmmph)-- a meaty, deeply interesting wide-ranging chat, as always! And more soon as well...what a gift, I'm looking forward to it.
