I must have acclimated for the season -- I just got back inside from quickly shoveling our beautiful Thanksgiving snow (not much, maybe 4-5 inches at most), and realize that I was wearing naught but a pair of jeans and a long-sleeved T-shirt. And it's 23 degrees outside. The human body is an amazing thing.

This was going to be a recitation of gratitudes for the holiday, and I realize I don't even know where to start. So rather than be late for dinner, I'll simply wish you all a coming year full of things to be incredibly grateful for, most of all, a life filled with and surrounded by love.

And I am grateful for all of you.

Heh, and I'm sitting here going, uh... because I've been wearing sandals while outside, and our back door is open with only the screen between us and the seventy-something degree weather. Hey, I've acclimated pretty quickly to something under eighty!

lol. Almost a native... ;> That's brisk, for Tejas! (and yeah, I know better, we had frost two of the mornings I was teaching up in the Hill Country in October, brrr!) Sounds lovely, mebbe I should make a Winter trip out there to warm my bones... (actually is a middlin' possibility, will let you know how that goes)

But I do adore the dramatic change of seasons, and Winter is getting close to being my favorite season out here. Kinda funny for a Hawaii boy, but there it is. A large flock of us are heading down for a week at Mooby World (http://www.everything2.com/index.pl?node=Mooby) (not hardly my first choice for a vacation, but I was soundly outvoted ;>), so I guess I'll have to re-acclimate after we get back from sunny Fla.

hmm, okay, thanks, Alobar, I'll check in with her. Last I heard, she and Lu weren't sure whether they'd be able to return to their house -- do you know if they're back on the lake, or are they still in Indiana? Well, guess I'll fid out soon ;> I haven't been keeping up very well with Horus-Ma'at Lodge traffic lately, think I may still owe Nema And Denny emails, too, among others. Hmmph.
