A bunch of new Casa Chaos pics up, including:

Installation of the wood boiler and heat storage tank (delivery and installation of the tank is here, and arrival of the wood boiler is here)

Some lovely mid-November shots of the woods and the larger stream starting here

And a series of pictures of a mischievous weekend at the Casa with some very dear friends, including a couple of our favorite New Orleans evacuees (now back home) who came to stay with us for a bit, starting here. It was all the fault of those wild New Orleans folks, I swear, they made us drink evil green fluids and do wicked stuff. Trixy southerners they were, we poor staid innocent Yankees may never be the same.

I know I'm supposed to be looking at the heat storage tank but I'm enamored of that door. Those hinges! Mmmm!

mmmm, indeed! I know just what you mean. The folks who had the house built were big fans of decorative ironwork. All of the doors here are lovely iron-bound wood, and that back basement door is one of the least of them. I'll have to post a pic of the front door at some point. And the iron gates that used to be in the dining room (you can kind of see them here (http://www.casachaos.net/Casa_Chaos2005/pages/page_55.html) are sitting up in the barn waiting for me to put them up in the woods as the entrance to a secret garden, or perhaps in the barn, portions of which I'll be converting to dorm space in the early Spring, before our Ritual Arts Camp (http://www.livejournal.com/users/chelidon/78778.html) (which is down to 4 slots open, without any advertising or announcement to community email lists, woo hoo!)

Heh! Oh dear, incriminating evidence of me having my belly button used as a scotch receptacle ... ;)

*wicked grin* Hee hee. I'm afraid there's no plausible deniability this time, my dear! But you don't seem to be complaining overmuch, methinks!

Ah. Green chartreuse and boodling.

Actually, it was Charteuse elixir, which is kind of like Chartreuse concentrate (yikes). Stunning, powerful stuff, not possible to get in this country, our guests had a small supply which they brought with them. And navel-sipping has definitely been a Casa Chaos tradition for many years, fer sure.

Yes - the elixir tends to mostly evaporate before you've had a chance to swallow it. (*boggle*)
