boggling wit' da boi
Jul. 16th, 2005 08:35 pmIn between going out hiking this morning with my partner to find Pitcher plants and Sundews (carnivorous plants are cool), and going out to the lake to swim and play this afternoon, my 5-year-old son sat happily in the house and listened to Tchaikovsky for two hours, spending part of that time having a very animated conversation with the composer, critiquing in detail various sections of the works he was listening to, making suggestions for improvements. My mind boggles. And I have a huge smile plastered on my face. And good goddess I am grateful for every moment I get to spend seeing this amazing little person grow.

Which pieces? How do you know Piotr wasn't there?

Date: 2005-07-18 02:17 pm (UTC)Well, this time it was the 1812 Overture, one of his most favorite pieces (full of exploding things, natch), the Marche Slave, Romeo and Juliet Fantasy Overture, Capriccio Italien, and the Hamlet Fantasy Overture.
And I have no doubt that Piotr may well have been on the other end of that conversation ;>
