Apr. 28th, 2005 07:35 amI'm rather used to strange science stories, as nature sends us a long string of unmistakable distress calls. But this one...I have no response to this:
Exploding toads baffle scientists
Except that reading this was an odd, odd way to start my day, so I thought I'd share it with you. The last line of the story is absolutely classic journalism. And please..let's be careful out there. Ya never know what's next -- fragmentation pigeons? Cluster squirrels? Precision-guided snakes? Gosh. I think Mom is pissed... (and I'm guessing the frogs aren't too happy about this, either)
(EDIT -- The Register says the cause has been discovered, and it is... crows. No kidding. Leave it to trixy crows to generate international news about exploding frogs... ::peers over his glasses at
