Sunny, perfect blue skies, high in the upper 70s today -- Spring is definitely and completely here! (you never know in early to mid-April around here, there's always the chance of a late cold snap) Crocuses and daffodils are popping up all over, and the trees are budding out. Whee! There's still snow on the ground in some places around the house and in some parts of our shady woods, but that's only because we got so *much* of it this winter, and as it melts, it's feeding the trees and plants, transforming white and brown into the coming verdant mantle of brilliant Springtime green, that indescribably glowing color that you only see in late April and throughout May as the new life bursts forth and out into the sun.

I am most definitely going to have to find a way to get out at lunchtime and walk in the woods around the hospital today, and my Ravishing Partner and I may skip out a bit early so we can take a good long walk down the stream at home this afternoon.
