A bit of a progress report...

Who knows when, if ever, I'll be catching up here, on email, etc... but know that I'm so very grateful for all of the love and support from so many of you, and I'll look forward to catching up whenever we can. I'll post updates here as I'm able. Love to all, and thank you.

I admire the playwright and director Lee Breuer -- his style, his panache, his chutzpah, his originality, and his ability to manifest. When he got his MacArthur Fellowship, he was one of those who I felt really totally deserved it. So he and the Mabou Mines are doing their odd comedic interpretation of Ibsen's The Doll House (no kidding) here this week. Yum. Hmm, if Claudia's up to it, that could be a nice welcome home, but we'll see...

Little-known fact (I think), that she and I first met through a production that I was in and she was stage-managing, and our first date was out to see Jack Heifner's Vanities. I still have the ticket stub stored away somewhere.

[EDIT: Claudia said "go for it" -- we have 2nd row center seats :>

Here's a decent piece (well, the writing is clunky, but the content is good) from one of our local papers about the production -- I note the graf near the end about how even Breuer can't make this kind of thing self-supporting. It's a tribute to his dedication to his art, and a rather sad comment on the state of avant-garde theatre in the U.S.]
