hot enough for ya?
May. 11th, 2007 04:58 pmClimate study: Eastern U.S. 'going to get a lot hotter'

Yikes. Within my son's lifetime, *average* summer highs in the Southeast of 115 degrees, average highs even in Canada of low to mid-90s? Not good at all. That's complete environmental catastrophe. And there's simply no way the power grid could keep up with the demand for A/C, even if the increased use of electricity didn't just accelerate the problem.
They only had funding to study the eastern U.S., but one can extrapolate to other regions, and I can only surmise that it doesn't look good.
Anyone not paying attention to climate change at this point has their eyes closed.

I find it most disheartening that even though I vote in every election, the people who are available to vote for are all in the little select cadre who really don't change anything.
