Okay, I want to take just about every single course these folks offer. Wow.

Their school is about 1 1/2 hours from my house. And I know folks who live much closer that I could probably crash with. Just what I need this summer, more time committments. Oh, but yum. Choices, choices. If not this year, next.

*cries*

I should know better by now than to follow a link that makes you want to take every single class. I'm not even with a 1.5 hour drive!

*wails*

hey they teach how to build a yurt. You already should qualify for 102 classes then.

*grin* I thought about volunteering as a teacher in return for free courses.

It's looking like I may be building one or more big (24+' diameter) 3 or 4-season yurts on our land this summer/fall as camping/class/temple space.

Ooo!

Well, eventually you'd have to build something, after you tore everything else down. *poke* I saw those pictures of the destruction! Sledgehammer o' doom!

heh. Yeah, I'm finding that as I expected, the demolition is the fast part, but the reconstruction is proceeding, just rather more slowly than I'd have liked. Funny, it's the electrical stuff that's slowing me down right now, because I'm not willing to just slop it -- somethind about the possibility of burning down the house and then having insurance not cover it because it wasn't done according to Code gives me pause ;> I've done oodles of electronic design and construction, but household electrical has been limited to minor stuff (putting in junction boxes and ceiling fans, etc) and this is major rewiring, and all the more difficult because I have to work around the stuff that's already there where I'm not willing to rip out more floors, etc. Funny, it turns out there's lots of fundamental differences between A.C. and D.C. (but I guess I knew that already ;>)

Yeah. Y'know, Chel, we appreciate your willingness to give the electrical end of things exactly the time that it needs. That whole burning down/blowing up/emergency room/aloe vera end of it doesn't enter into my ideal house vision, doncha know.

Hee...I missed the demolition itself because I was partying in N'Awlins at the time. It was good to see documentation of the walls coming down, but also a bit disconcerning to see the pics online from hundreds of miles away. "Damn...I'm not sure if I'll leave home for this long again..." ;>

Yeah, sometime soon it'll be time to build things again, and we already have some plans for this year and afterward. Local classes! Yeahyeahyeah...
