It's in the mid 40s today in central New Hampshire. Tomorrow's high is supposed to be 58, which is 30 degrees above the historical average high for Jan 6, and 9 degrees higher than the previous all-time record high. It will probably rain all day, so what little snow we have left will be gone, and we'll be having mud season, oh, about three months early. Yesterday one of my Lovely Housemates killed a mosquito. In January. This is absolutely incredible.

Today did a short piece this morning on the weather weirdness, complete with "laymen" speculating it's about global warming and "experts" pontificating about how it's not all that unusual and nothing to worry about. Right.

it's been much much warmer over here also - we've had maybe 6 days of frost this year - which is very very odd.

it's a mud bath!

it's been cold here in northern california, and it's 49 degrees. gusty winds up to 25 mph. sunny.

couple of rainstorms but not much since the big one with 50-mph winds the other week.

come on, rain--we are supposed to go skiing next weekend, and i want something to ski on besides mud.
