first snow!

We (finally!) got our first real snowfall of the Winter last night, maybe 5-6 inches, which is the perfect amount -- enough to make everything beautiful, but not so much that I have to immediately go out and plow (all the vehicles here can make it in and out). It was getting really creepy not having had any snow yet more than a week into December. No doubt the local ski areas are breathing a sigh of relief. The icicles off the roof are now growing steadily, and it's more and more like living in an ice castle. Yum.

Oh, yes, and I hope you and Hol can come visit in winter. I know cold and you aren't the best of friends, but it's fun to play in the snow, and it's nice and toasty inside!

Thanks! Winter has become almost my favorite season around here, it's such a different world, so other-worldly (tho' it's always quite fey around here, whatever the season ;>)

It's SOOOO beautiful! I'm jealous! I just want to touch it. I felt snow like that once and was surprised it was soft. Enjoy your gorgeous land!

Well I will just hope I get the chance to share it with you sometime! Perhaps we'll go sledding, then come in for a sit around the fire with hot toddys :) Winter really is a lovely time around here.

Well, I'd say keep an eye on Southwest Air...they have specials every so often to/from Tejas...

And hey, if you came out the first weekend in January, you could be here for Thorn's next to the last Feri session...

But really, some day when time and finances permit, I'd love to show you around our next of the woods (and I really do mean "woods")
