All the adult members of the Casa Chaos Hermitage went out to see Pirates of the Caribbean last night, after a delicious dinner at the new Mexican restaurant in town (owned and run by a family from Mexico). No really, decent Mexican in New England, and they even make their own tortilla chips -- no, not as good as Tejas chips, but a damn sight better than anything else I've yet found locally. And their margaritas are...passably good, but I'll freely admit, I'm a serious margarita snob.

Okay, it's not a movie, so much as a theme park ride (sort of like the 2nd Indiana Jones movie)...but that's kind of the point, eh? It was fun, if not a deathless classic of the genre.

Which makes this result below all the more amusing to me. I note that a close second is a tie between the Dread Pirate Roberts and Cap'n Jack Sparrow -- clearly I have some good/evil tussles going on, with pure heresy and the unexpected winning out over all ;> What kind of pirate are you?

I went and saw it last night too! Great minds think alike.

I wasn't nearly as impressed with it as the first one -- but hey, it's a pirate movie. About pirates. I love pirates! So I forgave it all of its shortcomings.

Did I mention that I love pirates? :)

The movie is in my "top three movies I want to see but likely won't have the opportunity this summer". But it did come up on the moving marquee of the theatre immediately as I walked by, also last night, interestingly enough.

You found a decent Mexican restaurant in New England?????? I found a shoddy one in Quincy, MA. Where exactly was it? I was Jonesin' for 2 years for some decent Mexican food when I was living up in MA. Of course I hear of some place AFTER I move....
