good news, bad news, rollercoasters...
Jul. 6th, 2006 11:41 amC just called, she checked her medical records at the hospital and the results of Monday's WBS scan came in. No doubt the doc will have more to say to us about it, but going from what's in the notes, it sounds like no observable metastasis outside the area of the thyroid. This is very good news, and what we were hoping for.
And my son's got his first checkup today post-surgery, and I suspect the doc will say everything is going great. His recuperative powers are amazing, and he's had no complications and is totally off meds weeks earlier than they'd anticipated. He spent the morning showing his grandparents all the rides on the Six Flags website, despite having been told that he may not be able to do roller coasters until August or September, and the final call is up to his surgeon. I can bet what the very first question he asks the doc will be. Not the most patient child, but well, you know, the apple don't fall far from the tree ;>
