For those of my friends interested in permaculture, sustainable agriculture, homesteading and so on, check out Acres USA ("The Voice of Eco-Agriculture") at www.acresusa.com You can order a free sample issue of their magazine, and based on that, I'm definitely getting a subscription. Articles in the May issue include a great article by eco-farming stalwart Joel Salatin about building healthy communities through direct food connections, disease and mineral deficiency, non-toxic weed control, raw milk, farm-fresh egg production, "the hidden physics of Irish folk remedies," ;> and a bunch of other good info and news. And, for my Tejas peeps (hmm, I first spelled that 'perps"), it's based in Austin! Their online bookstore is fabulous, too -- I want one of just about everything they sell...

Looks more commerical organic than permaculture, but still very interesting. Thanks for the link!

Yeah, some of the focus is on small/family farming, but they do have a lot of info on sustainable agriculture which is of more general use. Another one I subscribe to which you might want to check out is Permaculture Activist (http://www.permacultureactivist.net). Other good pubs are Small Farmer's Journal (http://www.smallfarmersjournal.com/) -- again, a little larger-scale than you may be interested in, but some great info.
