Avalon camp info -- come!

Here's some info from the organizers of Avalon camp in the U.K., where I'll be teaching along with a tremendous team of talented people in August. If you have any interest in going, I urge you to contact them and look into it. If you're in the EU, it's not far to go, and if you're from the States, this could be your chance to take that trip to the U.K. you've always wanted to do. I can't say enough about the amazing site -- not far from Glastonbury, it's a gorgeous, magical location, nestled between a Celtic Iron-age fort on the one side, and an early medieval chapel anchored by a 1700-year-old yew tree on the other (some pictures are here, the site itself mostly on pages 2 and 3). The whole area practically hums with resonant mythic currents, ageless tales and ancient memories. If that's not enough, there's a big hot tub (I'm not certain whether that's open during camp, however ;>), a lovely ritual site, extremely comfortable accomodations onsite, and fabulous food. The story and theme this year are deep, juicy and mythic, and the work, and play, is sure to be positively delicious. Please come!

we still need 7 bookings to ensure that camp will happen this year. If you have been thinking about booking yet putting it off, this is the time to let us know. Thanks to the generosity of last year's campers towards the "send-a-witch-to-camp" fund, we are able to offer five places at the early booking fee of £350 (camping)/£450 (dorm), on a first come first served basis.

This year we will be working with Blodeuwedd, the maiden Goddess magically created from the wild flowers of the forest, oak, meadowsweet and broom, to be wife to Lleu – a story from the fourth branch of the Mabinogion.

Will and desire, freedom and choice, magical creation and transformation...We step into the ancient tale of Blodweuwedd and Lleu, Gwydion and Arianrhod, as told in the fourth branch of the Mabinogion. What is the relationship of human to the wild, and how does magic change them both? We will explore what is wild within ourselves, pursue our heart's desires, and step into the deep mystery and power of creative manifestation, knowing that we are responsible for all of our choices.

the hot tub is dependant on bookings! if we manage more than break even numbers then we can tub if not :(....

How much does it cost you to ... or do they pay your fees because you present? How about airfare? Accommodations? I'd like to visit Avalon Camp someday, and also the Psychic Questing Conference that's held in London each November. (I should probably just move to England for a year someday.) But it seems so costly and also difficult to get time off work.

the teachers have their travel costs paid and gets some money for their work, and accomidation etc is included in that.

I think this is fairly common for most of the reclaiming camps.
