early lunch
May. 23rd, 2006 10:33 amStill catching up from being away, still hoping to be able to set aside more time later to post about the trip, in between work (which seems to have exploded, in a very good way, actually), rebuilding two bathrooms (putting the vessel sink in one, and the toilet, radiant floor heating, and new tile floor in the other), cleaning the mud off the bridge, filling a couple of potholes, and doing some other minor post-deluge road repairs, building more wine racks (like needing more bookshelves, a *good* problem), and getting ready for one houseguest tonight, and another two tomorrow. Oh, and trying to fight off a cold bug I seem to have picked up in the damp while camping (
snakey, this better not be your dream-plague, or I shall be quite put out! ;>). And I notice that my early lunch consists of crumpets with butter and homemade Scotch ginger and rhubarb jam, a good hunk of sharp cheddar and some tasty local farm cheese, biscuits and a nice hot cup of tea. I must be channeling my Inner Brit...
