The irony of our kvetching about gas prices is that I recently saw a BBC headline quoting someone on that side of the pond to the effect that prices there might hit £1 per liter. For those of you who, like me, aren't math whizzes, that's damn near $6 a gallon.
There was a story on the local news this morning about a man in Arlington (which is near Dallas) who has been riding his horse to work every day so that he only has to fill up his car once every two weeks.
