Looks like we have only one slot left for the Spring Magickal Arts Restorative here in April -- any who are interested and haven't sent in their registration yet, last chance!
Boy, I'd love to join you, but I think I gave away my down-filled snowsuit. I still have the below-zero parka with fur...I was actually tempted to pull it out and wear it today when running errands, just to poke fun at the fact that Austin's in the grip of (panic! terror!) THIRTY-SIX DEGREE weather. It's not even FREEZING, folks!
However, after another few months of this wacky "not really a winter but we call it that because it's below 90F" weather, I don't know if I'll be able to handle going anywhere north of the Texas-Oklahoma line if it's not July. Then again, if I go home in August, I might step off the plane and spontaneously melt from the humidity...
Next time, we shall not only get together but we shall have WORKING KITCHEN. Somehow. I hope. Of course, the master bathroom may be shredded by then, but...
lol. Hey, it's not *that* cold here -- in fact, the week coming up, it looks to get up above freezing two or three times (dammit, it gets more icy, would rather have it stay below 32 degrees F...) By the workshop, it'll be in the mid to high-50s during the day, quite balmy indeed (tho' I'll have the woodstove in the barn perking away for those of more southerly inclinations who're sleeping there... ;>)
Yes, on getting together, and yay for working kitchens! Projects, projects...I just finished ripping apart our washing machine and fixing it with a wee piece of bailing wire -- the natives were getting restless, have been hand-washing everything in the sink for the last two weeks. Where's their sense of adventure and pioneer spirit, I said... (then had to fend off many well-aimed pokes ;>)
Seriously, was a bummer to miss you this time, will look foward to next, tho'!
