[livejournal.com profile] anthologie just posted a portion of Pablo Neruda's Sonnet XVII, the last line of which, in a somewhat ideosyncratic translation I haven't seen before, has to be one of the more luscious versions I've seen. And it manages to be viscerally earthy, delicate, and fiercely passionate with nothing more explicit than a kiss. All writers who speak of love can perhaps take a delicious clue here... Yum.
