Excellent idea (CB reel) -- I made it to the CD release party of a local fiddler in Mabou last time I was up there, and picked up a couple of copies after hanging out, and they are all very, very infectious. Carmina Burana might be cleansing as well...
My Lovely Housemates know better than to ask me to help get a stuck song out of their head. There are two classic 4-note responses... "Here's a story..." or "Just sit right back..."
In both cases, the cure is probably worse than the disease...
