I admit to being a wee bit paranoid about this given my current profession and personal spiritual and political beliefs.

It really doesn't surprise me at all. Remember Viet Nam? I was a protester in 1971. Dick had the FBI checking _all_ of us out. I was a very young teen. I can't imagine how a Quaker kid could be a threat. I still pray for inches of dust (that i doubt there is) on my folder. If things haven't changed, i'm sure we're both on the radar.

I'm sure I've been on the list since birth. Whenever something weird happens that I think may attract the attention of "them", I just say "put it in my file"! By the time they get done trying to figure it out I'm sure someone who is really up to something will be done with their business by then.
