Everyone I run into today tells me that my son is on the cover of the newspaper this morning. Ah-yup, there he is, admiring some motorcycles at the Windsor Heritage Days event on Saturday. Gosh, who knew he'd get his 15 minutes of fame so soon? Apparently one of the staff photographers was following him and a couple of other kids around. Of course, even at this age, when someone calls and tells me that my son is on the cover of the newspaper, I have a minor heart attack. I'd like to think that my little Calvin won't get into much mischief as he grows up, but I know better. Clever, trixy boy, he is -- must get it from his mother.

I fear my Wee Ian is going to turn into a Calvin also. He is already growing the yellowish hair, and when he is in shorts and a striped yellow or red shirt... scary...

Heh. I'd say that you're probably in a lot of trouble, yes. Yeah, as for me, I'm at once both pleased and worried about it. F will be just fine, but I don't know if I will... I just don't know where these kids get it from, all with such sweet innocent staid parents. These things must skip a generation or two.

They don't show much of the cover page pic on the website, it's true, I guess they want folks to buy the paper ;> That is him, though, hard to miss the toe-head.

Ian discovered his singing voice recently and uses it as in indication for when he is happy... since he is not a very fussy baby and is happy most of the time, this means when he is present he is usually accompanied by these very loud semi-operatic screeches. I have no idea where he learned how to project like that, and he can hold the note easily for 10 or 15 seconds. Our band was performing at a Beltane festival last Spring and I could hear him a 100 yards away while we were playing!

At the doctor's office last week, one of the nurses in the back thought there was a cat loose in the waiting room.

Oh, of course he takes after the lovely one in the family, who is always Up To No Good. Riiiiiiight. Because everyone knows you are the Innocent One in the house's doings. Surrrrrrrre.

Yes, she decided to take a break from LJ for a bit, is spending less time online, said she may be back after a while.
