gratitude again and again
Jun. 17th, 2005 02:51 pmI was just reading yet another thoughtful bit of prose by
yezida, here, and it reminded me of the need to continue to attend to internal balancing in my own life.
So instead of posting information about yet another heinously short-sighted, stupid act by the Bush administration, I'm going to express gratitude for three things that made or will make me happy today.
1. My son's last day of kindergarten, his enormous pride at "being a first-grader now," and the exquisite joy of this age in his life, and seeing the world through his playful, enthusiastic eyes.
2. An all-too-rare mid-day hot tub break, with much-needed foot rubs by
lylythe_strega
3. Seeing Robert Plant tonight with my lovely partner, and the precious gift of the drive time together, to talk and share our lives (at least on the way there, no doubt she'll be snoozing on the way back).
Beauty before me, beauty behind me, love before me, love behind me, joy before me, joy behind me.
May I always be open to beauty, balance, delight, and love beyond all reason, throughout my life.
