If you, or anyone you know is interested in a work-from-home freelance writing/editing job, very good pay (as these things go), and if you've got the experience listed below, please post a comment here with your email addy, and I'll get back to you with more information. The "topics" mentioned in this case are technology-related, but that's for an ideal candidate -- the journalism/writing skills and experience are rather more important than hard-core tech credentials, as long as the person has some knowledge of/experience with/interest in technology-related topics, and is willing and able to learn.

-------
I'm looking for experienced journalists and reviewers, people who are both editors and writers, people who know the topics and who can report stories. No analysts, please. No consultants. No one outside our profession.

When you say experienced, I am guessing you mean as in paid or employed for these skills? I think I fall somewhere in between -- I used to work in the automation unit for a corporation, wrote a lot of communications and evaluations, but my title did include the word "analyst." Anyway, if it's at all applicable, send the email to mj_vansteenberg at yahoo dot com. And if not, that's okay too. ;-) I just had a weird feeling that I shouldn't not say anything at all.

No analysts? You mean you want people who can actually write? How about technical writing/editing as well as essayist & fiction (although unpaid for the latter)? mahavidyas at adelphia, net.

I don't see why -- the company hiring, CMP Media, is owned by United Business Media, a U.K. firm...

I'm a bit gun-shy, because "technology" is a pretty wide-open term, but I do have (paid and reference-carrying and googleable) experience in writing and editing. I'd certainly be interested in more information if you care to send it to karmasue at peoplepc.com

Erm. I've been a copy editor for twenty years plus and have had a column for a local magazine (on folk music) for five years now, and I've done freelance editing in the past. You can reach me at twila dot price at gmail dot com.

Yes, please

Chelidon,
What an exciting prospect! I appreciate the opportunity, and to tell you a bit of what I do: I studied creative writing at the University of Montana, it was my minor, French was my major. I have written everything from press releases to articles for various company publications while working at Cirque du Soleil. I also have copy-editing experience all as transcription should that be needed. I may be reached at silverdolffyn @ yahoo.com or cerr @ witchgrove.org. Thank you!

I have four years experience as an editorial assistant for a professional history journal and I currently work as a book reviewer.

I am not educated in the field of tech writing nor do I have any technology related degrees. I'm not certain what exactly you're looking for in this field, if I meet your criteria you can contact me at agnes_ntt@yahoo.com
