I'm glad to see more local bicyclist rights laws being passed here, and elsewhere. Bicyclists deserve all the help they can get, both in cities and rural areas. And I can tell you this -- anyone cycling in this area in Winter is HARD-CORE.

I'll bet. I grew up in Buffalo, NY and not many people bicycle there in the winter, so Prof Ed Powell was always very noticeable on his way up to campus.

Yay for the bicyclists! Having been badly doored here in Chicago, and having many friends who have undergone the same, I am so in favor of laws that protect and encourage the two-wheeled.

wow - I hadn't realised how good the UK is on bike laws...most of these traffic laws have been n place for a while over here - and of course I totally took them for granted.

We're lucky in norwich - lots of bike lanes go across town since we've got a high number of bikes.

Yeah, we're in the land of Auto Uber Alles over here...lucky bikes are legal to drive at all. But I think that's changing, especially in more progressive locales.
