there's no place...
Apr. 6th, 2008 06:40 pmA couple of days on the road, some good times, minor mayhem, a little much-needed R&R, and now, soon, back to the Casa and my Beamish Boy, mischievous cats, and a house full of love, not to mention fast-melting snow and budding trees (yay!). April showers bringing many May flowers, I hope. And more raised beds, some tree planting, road repair, possibly some bridge footer anti-erosion work, and many projects to be done for upcoming events and camps. I think I've figured out a way to use the wood boiler to heat a couple of outdoor showers as well, so probably no need to buy and use any propane hot water heaters, which go against the grain of the carbon-neutral systems I'm trying to arrange here. Many thanks to Charles and the Grove for the new composting toilet for the barn! (to add to the existing one)
There are sometimes good reasons to roam and walkabout for a while, but really, truly, there is no place like the warm hearth of home.
