Feri Camp emails -- please read

I've identified a possible problem with folks sending me Feri Camp registration requests from Yahoo Mail accounts (yahoo.com). In at least two cases, both yahoo.com accounts, I received their mail, but mail to them was "deferred" by Yahoo Mail, which, though the message says it's only "temporary" has turned out to be some kind of email black hole -- the people in question never got my outgoing emails. This is weird, since nobody else seems to be having any problems, but at this point, it's time to punt rather than trying to trouble-shoot.


If you are going to be registering for Feri Camp and have a Yahoo Mail account, I strongly suggest that you use an alternate account for this purpose -- another free email source, that does not seem to be having any troubles is Google Mail (mail.google.com). If you send me an alternate email address, I'll send your registration form to both addresses.

Sure thing -- it's weird, because you and I never have trouble getting email from each other, as far as I know, but better to be safe, I figure.

No, I got it -- and I think you're fine anyhow, I haven't seen any problem with UK Yahoo Mail addys.

Not really surprised by this, I've had to ditch Yahoo! mail because their smtp! server! takes! hours! to! process! my! mail!

Bollocks!

I'm now in the process of parking my domain at GoDaddy, web site is now hosted at .mac and mail is handled by Google. Everything is working fine now and it's nice having imap that really works. Gates & Ballmer can buy the damn company now that I'm outta there...
