I've been buried in Feri for a bit, but there are some other juicy events coming up, and one even sooner than Feri Camp -- this is a draft announcement, but all the basic info is correct. One note -- Willow Firefly is the same person as Willow Kelly (all these dang name-changing pagans, I swear... ;>)

Facilitator's Bios:
Chelidon is a devotee of the bardic arts, including the skills of word, rhythm, instrument and voice. He is dedicated to allowing time and space for the infinite diversity of Tales to be shared. His other loves include history and mythology, medicinal and magickal herbalism, and art made with wood, metal, stone, chocolate or pixels. Much of his inspiration comes from the wild, untamed and ferocious beauty of nature, especially the woods of New Hampshire, where he lives in an intentional community with his wife, Claudia, son Forest, and much-beloved family and friends.
Crow and Willow Firefly Kelly met and fell in love playing music and singing together in 2000 at Witchcamp in the Woodlands of Mendocino, CA. The magic of music still dances through them as they continue to play sacred music for Witches, Sufis, Yogis, and other spiritual groups. Crow is a master of stringed things, stirring and evoking the wordless depths with mandolin, guitar, fiddle, and other instruments that inspire him in the moment. Willow is an experiential priestess of rhythm and voice, holding the steady hip-bouncing pulse of the dance divinely coupled with the opening and deepening rhythms of trance. Their musicianship, their love for each other and their love for those that do this work of transformation infuse their facilitation with a special kind of magic.
Jude Elf has danced her way through life studying traditional forms of movement of many cultures and genres (including Yoga, Judo, West African and Afro Caribbean dance, Fire Spinning, American Tribal and Egyptian Cabaret Belly Dance, Israeli Dance, International folk dance, Circle Dance, Appalachian Clogging, Ballroom, and Swing). She considers herself a song catcher, spinner, and budding drummer. She currently performs with Adja and Shidda: West African Dance and Culture Troupes, and the Hardwick Area Vagina Warriors. A priestess with a life long devotion to ecstatic transformative ritual and deep personal magic, she rejoices in sharing her passion for connecting to the divine through music, dance, and song. With Kidsfest, she helps facilitate large public rituals that gather the community to turn the wheel and honor the seasons. She has taught Reclaiming magic in her local community and Vermont and Free Activist Witch Camps.
Claudia Manifest: Claudia is taking the role of Kitchen Witch, Time Priestess, and House Mage during this Restorative. As such she will be preparing your meals and living spaces in sacred space, and taking the lead in facilitating the rituals that are also meals. She has taught at numerous Reclaiming Witchcamps, weekend workshops, community based classes, and was the instigating and creative force behind previous Magic of Art Restoratives in Maryland and New Hampshire.

Date: 2008-02-27 09:50 pm (UTC)I am going back and forth about Dandelion...really wanting to go - but it's not fitting easily into my life. Depending on that (which I have to decide like...today), I may have more open space than I know.
I need a patron. What are my chances of finding a modern-day, green, leftist Medici who wants to fund all my spiritual expansion?
Oh, don't even bother answering that.

By the way, did you teach at Loreley last year?

Date: 2008-02-27 10:07 pm (UTC)And yes, I did teach at Loreley last year. Are you on the team for '08?

Date: 2008-02-27 10:13 pm (UTC)Same here about Dandelion -- I just can't fit it all into my schedule of weekends, available time off, and so on. I really wanted to go...hmm, well, I felt somewhat obligated to go, and there are some people I'd really love to see. But...probably not in the cards this time around. I went last time, perhaps every other is my personal tradition ;>
Jude is an excellent siren, and she will be doing even more juicy stuff at this coming event... (tempt, tempt)
Totally seriously (for a moment, anyway), last year's event was one of the peak musical/magickal events I have ever seen or participated in -- I was there teaching, but I would have paid serious money just to be in the room and hang out/learn from/jam with all the people who were there. I've honestly never done or participated in better improv, ever, and the magickal impact (as well as the musical fun) was...breathtaking. (tempt, tempt)
For instance, Daniel, Crystaline's (sp?) sweetie, was there, and he's just the most *amazing* musician. We're hoping to lure them both back to this one.

Date: 2008-02-29 06:09 pm (UTC)I can tell you that there is definitely space. I sent out the pre-announcement on LJ, but with all else that's been going on, we're just getting the actual event announcements out now. The official announcement goes out (via mailing lists, etc) this weekend, and it'll start filling up then.
