chelidon: (Winter Grin)

Back from Winter Camp, and it was...really a lovely peak teaching experience, a great camp, and one of the best teams I've ever been on. Freya rocks, as always, and she and Od together are very, VERY hot (having invoked and aspected both of them during the week, the inside of my brain has been a happy place to be, and at the risk of TMI, I've been like Randy-Pan the Goatboy, I swear...)

Anyhow, more later if I get a chance to write about it in the midst of catching back up on all of the life that somehow and quite inconsiderately happened while I was away. Also, I will be posting here soon some details and a list of upcoming events at the Casa, including the April musical arts restorative, Feri Camp (end of June), ritual brewing workshop for Lammas, and a dramatic arts (ritual theatre) restorative in mid-October. The teaching team for Feri Camp is still working out some details (path, bios, etc), but I'll send out an announcement later this week with the essential bits (dates, cost, theme, teaching team), so people can start sending in their registrations.

I spent several hours yesterday digging out the back deck from about 5' of snow and ice that had accumulated (note: thank goodness for intentional family, I SO get why farm families tended to be big -- lots of labor!) Ow. Back sore, but hot tubs = GOOD. On the other hand, who needs an exercise plan, when we have winter? And another storm, perhaps up to a foot of snow, coming in tomorrow and Wednesday. Well, I sure can't complain about not getting a real winter this year, and the skiing is great -- I got to go out with my Beamish Boy for a few hours on Friday evening and we had big fun, and will probably go out for a day this weekend and throw ourselves down the mountain a few dozen times.

Some winter pics are here

A few of note:

Looming mounds

A wee bit of snow

And sad to say, the saga of the last pumpkinhead is now complete. Our grinning guy (and again here) finally thawed one warm day and lost structural integrity. Ah well, such is the lot of all mortal flesh, and our loss is the little outdoor critter's gain, they think he's just yummy, if a bit freezer-burned...

Oh, yes -- this one is for you, [livejournal.com profile] ravenedgewalker and [livejournal.com profile] morrigandaughtr Hee hee. :)

Ah, yes -- the picture of Very Sleepy Witches. Nice.

So glad that that camp was wonderful. Looking forward to hearing more about it.
