birthday fun with a houseful of drama buffs

Today is my boy's 6th birthday, and when asked what theme he would like for a party this year, he hesitated not a moment, and said "Pirates!" That's my boy...

So in one short hour, Casa Chaos will be invaded by six scurvy cabin boys energetic six-year-old boys...gods help us all (standing rule: can invite one guest for each year he is old...) I've attached the schedule of events, created by my lovely partner (and hugely and enthusiastically overacted by all of the denizens here), and the musical playlist (created by me -- you have no idea how hard it is to come up with a playlist of good "pirate music" which doesn't involve rampant swearing and other such things to which six year olds (and their parents) might take objection.

Pictures will follow, at some point, once I've recovered from the day's events. The treasure maps are works of art, and some of the costumes are exquisite, in a disreputable scurrilous way, natch.

All I can say, is, wait 'till he gets a couple of years older and we start doing the Haunted House for Halloween! *wicked cackle*
