Haven't made it to Islay yet, but Sven and I stopped in Craigellachie for a few days during our honeymoon, and visited the Macallan distillery. I think this is what confirmed for him that he truly loved me (it was my idea).

hee hee. True love, indeed! I haven't been to Craigellachie, but there's always next time...

Islay was one of my favorite stops, and it wasn't really so much for the natural scenery, tho' lovely... ;> Last time I was over, I made it to Skye (Talisker) and Oban -- yum (tho' Oban's tour is just a typical tourist walk, nothing much to recommend it, and unlike Talisker, nothing unique or rare in their shop, either)

Lovely houseguests are on their way, and I'm finishing a major project due tomorrow (thus the sudden spate of verbosity ;>), but the rest of the week looks doable, tho' my schedule is somewhat chaotic as I'm doing the single-dad thing for the rest of the week, until I fly down to DC on Saturday. So...Thursday or Friday evening after work, perhaps?
