chelidonThe class listed below is almost full, with somewhere around 4 spots left as of this morning, so I thought I'd post it here in case any of my LJ friends might be interested. marys_daughter) is incredible, and one of my dearest magical friends, mentors and colleagues.
We'll be having a bardic circle (open to all) Sat night after the class, and a work day on our land Sunday 9am-3pm for anyone who wants to come help with various land projects -- more on that in a separate post.
What: Skills for Healers, Clergy & Teachers
With: Katrina Messenger: Poet, Priestess, Warrior, and Witch
When: Saturday, July 21st
9:30 am to 5:30 pm
Where: Claudia and Chelidon's House, New Hampshire
(15 min from Lebanon, NH / White River Junction, VT)
Cost: $50-$75 You decide where you slide; (work study available on limited basis, please contact Claudia)
This course is primarily about boundaries and containers, and how to
use these tools to create healing spaces and teachable moments. We
will review the importance of having strong, flexible outer and inner
boundaries, and how to use these boundaries to create an appropriate
level of intimacy with our students, clients and patients.
We will discuss techniques to create various kinds of containers,
including magical, healing and transformative. And we will also
discuss topics such as ethics, privacy and discretion. And finally we
will open the discussion up so that participants can share problems
and concerns and get feedback and advice from the collective wisdom
of all who have gathered.
This course is designed for people who have already made a commitment
in their lives to the healing arts, the ministerial and priest/ess
path, or teaching as a profession.
Lunch and snacks will be pot luck, please bring a dish to share.

Katrina Messenger, a radical feminist of African, Cherokee & Irish descent, is a refugee from the Marxist- Leninist, labor, feminist, and black nationalist movements of old. She now busies herself with revolutions of a more immediate nature - changing herself. A founding member of Dark Flame Coven, and Reflections Mystery School located in Washington DC, she finds inner peace and solace by sharing her hard won lessons with others who care to listen.
Katrina is also a poet, singer/songwriter, author, teacher, speaker and priestess. She has published articles in the Reclaiming Quarterly, contributed to the highly successful Twelve Wild Swans, and taught at Reclaiming witch camps since 1997. Katrina teaches classes in her local community, actively mentors up and coming leaders and provides logistical support for major political actions and community events.
