so far today:

had a snowball fight with my son while waiting for his schoolbus
for at least 10 minutes, threw big chunks of ice off the side of the bridge into the half-frozen stream below just for the fun of it
despite impending deadlines, allowed myself to sit and pursue extremely wicked and mischievous trains of thought
played "toss the mouse" with cat

Oh yeah. Got some work done, too.

Lucky. We are just getting rain, no snow in sight, it seems. I am dying to take Ian out for a snowball fight.

We're getting something like 2 inches of rain now, which makes for ice-rink like conditions in places (fun in its own way, so long as you don't have to drive on it...) But we got 5 or 6 inches over the long weekend, so what we had this morning was wet snow, just perfect for making snowballs.
