Yer just a big ol' meme-y...
Jan. 11th, 2006 08:36 amI don't often do memes, but
morrigandaughtr tagged me (damn youuuu! ;>), and I can use a few minutes of distraction right now from pouring over transcripts of tape recordings of some interviews I did a few weeks back-- what were some of these transcribers smoking, anyhow?
Seven favorite songs, eh? Nope, gonna tinker with the meme and write up the last 25 songs iTunes pulled up that I remember hearing (i.e., they got through to my brain), and see...
1. "Breathe (2AM)," Anna Nalick (first one selected intentionally, cuz it was stuck in my head a few days back)
2. "Oya (Primitive Fire)," Babatunde Olatunji
3. "If You Want Me To Love You," Asylum Street Spankers
4. "Part II: The Shepherd In The Tree - Huyzui/Fyerte/O Ascondida Verdad (Troya)," LiveOak And Company, Lanterns Of Love: Love And the Mystic In Renaissance Spain
5. "Shoot The Moon," Norah Jones
6. "Sirènes de la Fête," Brazilian Girls
7. "Na Conghailigh," Christy Moore
8. "French Connection," Simon Stinger
9. "Ku'u Lei Awapuhi," Hapa
10. "Kermit's Second Line," Kermit Ruffins
11. "It Wasn't Me," Anouk
12. "Entre Moi (Alternative Version)," Qntal
13. "What's Good," Lou Reed
14. "Hole In My Head," Dixie Chicks
15. "Hey Man Nice Shot," Filter
16. "Uninvited," Alanis Morissette
17. "Belleville Rendezvous," Les Triplettes De Belleville (soundtrack)
18. "Terrible Lie," Nine Inch Nails
19. "Cry Me A River," Julie London
20. "Ninth Ward," Morning 40 Federation
21. "Alien of Albion," Full Moon Scientist (feat. Mee)
22. "Posession (Acoustic)," Sarah McLachlan
23. "Peter Gunn (Max Sedgley Remix)," Sara Vaughan (Verve/Remixed 3)
24. "Bumhole," The Tiger Lillies
25. "Wash Me Clean," K.D. Lang
So, for those tagged below, if you choose to take this mission, list seven (or more or less) songs you are into right now. No matter what the genre, whether they have words, or even if they're any good, but they must be songs you're really enjoying now. Post these instructions in your LiveJournal along with your seven (or more or less) songs. Then tag seven (or more or less) other people to see what they're listening to.
